Little Eaton Ladies 6 Ashfordby Amateurs 3

After a earlier defeat in the season at the hands of Ashfordby , Little Eaton paid there dues by demolishing Ashfordby this time round and maintaining there 100% record at home.

Little Eaton came out of the traps with all guns blazing and started to dictate the game from the start. Pip Cassidy opened the scoring after some great Midfield and attacking combination work . Little Eaton continued to dominate the game from the back .breaking down straight away anything that Ashfordby could throw at Little Eaton . The attacking line up of Summer Evans , Pip Cassidy , Mel Fisher, Vicky Spargo and with the help of Nicole Horton and Rachael Hibbert from midfield , terrorized the Ashfordby defence, keeping them busy . Summer Evans put her name on the sheet after a great ball in from Mel Fisher for evans to run onto and slotted the ball into the back of the net . Two more goals from Pip Cassidy giving her a first Hat Trick of the season and Little Eaton 4-0 lead at Half Time

Little Eaton came out in the second in the same frame of mind as the first half. Little Eaton took the advantage of play and earlier made it 5-0 within 5 minutes of start after a great cross from Vicky Spargo teased the Little Eaton Forwards , who just missed out on tucking the ball away. Little Eaton for a brief spell took their foot off the pedal and allowed Ashfordby 3 quick fire goals and nearly a fourth , only to be denied by a fantastic save by stand in goalkeeper , Laura Weston and clearance off the line from Chloe Pountain.

Credit to Little Eaton who didn’t fold and kept up the pressure and who got there just rewards by two well taken further goals by Pip Cassidy and Mel Fisher

Player of the Match went to the versatile – Laura Weston , who stood in for Paige Evans who was at GCSE Dance Rehearsal for her exam . Laura to her credit was fantastic in goal and showed how versatile she is and what a team player she is . Well done Laura credit to us all

Other notable performances , Pip Cassidy for her 4 goals who is starting to show her goal scoring form she had a few seasons ago The Defence of Rebecca Waldron, Chloe Pountain , Hazel Preston (Capt) Hannah Limberger and the Midfield and Attack of Rachael Hibbert, Nicole Horton , Mel Fisher , Vicky Spargo and Summer Evans all for there Hard Work and Determination .

My apologies to the players who didn’t get on or had only a brief spell on the pitch

Very proud of the whole team
