Another convincing win for the talented Little Eaton Ladies. They started slowly and were grateful to Paige for her alertness in goal, dealing with dangerous through balls in the early stages. However Little Eaton took the lead after 10 minutes following strong work by Vicky Spargo on the left who crossed for Alice Liggett to turn the ball home from 6 yards. The second goal came on the half hour, Katy Brown scoring her first ever goal for Little Eaton, after good work on the by-line and a delicate chip into the far corner. Summer Evans was a constant threat to the Fleckney defence and made it 3-0 just before half time with a fine finish using the outside of her right foot. Manager Darren Swift had words with the team at half time and they gave a stronger second half performance. Mel Fisher scored the 4th goal with a cross that deceived everyone, Pip Cassidy added the 5th after a brilliant individual run. Alice Liggett set up Summer Evans for her second and Little Eaton's 6th and Alice Liggett completed the scoring with a poacher's goal, flicking the ball in from near the goal line. Pip was awarded player of the match after a classy and dominant performance in the centre of midfield. The defence again looked very solid, and debutant Sheree White looked classy at full back. A competent performance from Little Eaton, but they know they face a big test in 2 weeks time against Leicester City Ladies, a task that the manager knows the team will relish, after victory last season
